Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays from (6-9p). Begins the first Monday of each month for two consecutive weeks
Weekend
Fridays (6-9p), Saturday (10a - 1p), and Sundays (10a - 1p). Begins the first Friday of each month for two consecutive weeks
Accelerated
Thursday (6-9p), Friday (6-9p), Saturday (9a-4p), Sunday (10a-5pm) - Intended for students already comfortable in the water. Prior scuba, snorkeling, free diving, or competitive swim experience preferred.

Requirements
Masks, fins, and snorkel
It is critical to have proper fitting dive quality mask, fins, and snorkel. Therefore these items are required for class. Purchase with confidence at Ocean First or bring in what you already have for evaluation.

Class Details
Step 1: Online Training (Included in price)
After you enroll you will be given a log-in to access your online training materials. Please make sure you complete all of your online training BEFORE your first day of class to ensure that you get the most value from the classroom and pool training. Estimated completion time = 10 hours
Step 2: Classroom & Pool Training (Included in price)
Each day of the open water scuba course includes a short classroom workshop reviewing dive theory and then the majority of the time in the pool practicing scuba skills. We encourage students to continue practicing even after their pool training ends and offer unlimited complimentary practice sessions until students have completed their checkout dives. Estimated completion time = 18 hours
Step 3: Open Water Checkout Dives (Included in price, must be scheduled and completed within 6 months of completion of step 2)
Your final step is completing four open water checkout dives. We offer a number of local, domestic, and international dive trips every month, so there are plenty of options to choose from. If you’ve already scheduled a trip, we are happy to provide a SSI referral, which will allow you to complete your checkout dives while on your vacation. Note that rental equipment is available for your open water dives at an additional cost.
*We require all students bring a mask, snorkel, fins, bathing suit, and towel each night for class. Most open water students purchase our Open Water System, which includes a mask, neoprene mask strap, mask defog, mask cleaner, snorkel, fins, booties, and mesh bag. A rental BCD, regulator, alternate air source, tank, and weights are provided for your classroom and pool portions of class.

You may enroll in your classroom and pool sessions below. Please select your open water training dive preference. We will contact you to schedule your open water dives after enrollment. These must be completed within 6 months of finishing your classroom and pool sessions.
